Waterfed Pole Window Cleaning

What does this mean? How is it better? How does it work? Let’s take a look at these questions. A RO DI water system is a system that uses Reverse Osmosis and De-ionized water. The window washing system is a multi-stage filtering system that removes TDS, or total dissolved solids, which are the impurities in your water. The result of removing the vast majority of these impurities is spot free windows using a simple water fed pole with a special brush attached to it. This is basically done with garden hose pressure. Because this is a pole fed system the vast majority of the jobs can be done from the ground without the need for ladder work, making it a safer and faster way to work. And since it is a wet method of cleaning windows, we can perform window washing the same day you have us schedule your house washing service. It’s a wonderful way to get your window washing done without the extra service call.

The Reverse Osmosis (RO) & Deionized Water (DI) System

Reverse osmosis is the process of pushing a solution through a filter that traps the solute particles on one side and allows the pure solvent water on the other side. The membranes used for reverse osmosis don’t have any pores, and the separation takes place in a dense polymer layer that is only microscopic in thickness. The membrane is designed to only allow water to pass through. Reverse Osmosis uses a very fine filter or membrane. The membrane is so fine that the pores only allow passage of water molecules. The dissolved particulate impurities don’t pass through the membrane, so the water is cleaned. These impurities can include calcium, sodium, and other elements that normal water may contain. The membrane itself is made from a synthetic material. This membrane is delicate and could be damaged by organic matter, iron, chlorine, and other impurities found in normal tap water. These impurities must be removed by pre-filters.

Deionized water (DI water) or de-ionized water is water that lacks ions from sodium, calcium, iron, copper and anions such as chloride and bromide. Simply put, this means it has been purified. This type of water is produced using an ion exchange process. Deionized water is similar to distilled water. DI water is also often used as a final rinse when washing glass. Using DI water for window cleaning is a natural fit because it contains so little dissolved solutes so that the glass dries without leaving any spots. This window washing method is also less costly than the conventional squeegee methods for window washing.
